Climate stories for children

Climate change is the goal children hear about most, and the one adults find hardest to explain without frightening them. These three books take it in pieces. In His Name is Murphy!, Murphy is Abril's beetle, and young Xiuhtezcatl Martínez gets ready to fight for the future. In A Furrowed Brow, Greta, eleven, speaks up at last when she finds lights, taps and heating left running at home. In A Chicken Thigh, Marilyn leaves a bit of chicken thigh on her plate at Grandma Dorothy's, and strange things begin. Read them in that order and a child ends up with a cause, a solution and a habit. Each book has a guide with questions by age and three low-cost activities.
