The social pillar of Eco Heroes — a safe haven where the youngest and the oldest look after one another.
The world moves fast, and it leaves people behind — the very young, the very old, anyone who needs a little more. Casa Abril is a real place for them: a safe haven in nature where every generation is welcome, care runs both ways, and whatever you're carrying, you don't carry it alone. Free. Gentle. Yours.

The social pillar of Eco Heroes
Eco Heroes teaches a generation to care for the planet and for one another. Casa Abril is where that care becomes a place — people-centered, and built for the vulnerable communities the world too often overlooks.
A real place — an intergenerational safe haven in nature for vulnerable communities: children, elders and families who need a little more. People first, always.
Because the world leaves people behind — the very young, the very old, the worn-thin. Care should be free, shared, and within reach of whoever needs it.
Built green and run with and by local people, backed by corporate and foundation partners who want real, measurable impact — and free for everyone who comes.
The idea
A child needs someone with time. An older person needs to be needed. Put them in the same room — with a guitar, a garden, a story half-told — and something quietly powerful happens: the lonely are not lonely, the small feel strong, and nobody is set aside. That exchange, given freely, is the whole of Casa Abril.

We believe no one is too young to give, and no one is too old to begin again — that care should cost nothing, joy should be shared, and the people the world overlooks belong at the very centre of it.

Why "Casa Abril"
This place carries my daughter's name. Abril is the reason for all of it — she taught me that the true measure of a home is whoever it makes room for. So we're making room: for the child who learns differently, the elder left in silence, the family worn thin from caring, and anyone the world rushes past. Here, you are not a problem to be managed. You are wanted, exactly as you are.
Whatever you're carrying — we've got you.
— For Abril, and for all of us

What will happen here
Martial arts for children and teens — somewhere to stand tall, burn off the day, and belong. Every child welcome, whatever their family can give.
The same art, made gentle: older people learning to move, balance and fall safely — so the fear of falling stops shrinking their world.
A guitar in young hands, a choir of older voices, and the moment they find the same rhythm. Some can't recall what they had for breakfast — but give them a song, and whole passages of a life come back.
Real company and gentle days for older people — including those living with memory loss — kept in the warmth of younger life, not apart from it.
While someone they love is cared for, families and carers get something rare and necessary: a moment to breathe, and a hand to hold.
Cooking, crafts, storytelling and long afternoons outdoors — knowledge passed both ways, the old teaching the young and the young waking the old.
A place to feel safe, and to belong.

How it will work
No fees for the families, children and elders who walk through the door. Belonging shouldn't depend on what you can pay.
Safeguarding comes first — trained people, clear boundaries, and the same duty of care Eco Heroes holds across everything it builds for children.
Designed as sustainable, low-impact eco-spaces and kept alive by the people around it — local hands, local work, a place that largely sustains itself.
Casa Abril will be backed by corporate and foundation partners seeking real, measurable impact, and sustained locally — so the care inside it can always be given freely.
Made to travel
Casa Abril isn't one building in one town. It's a model designed to open wherever it's needed — each one built and run by its own community, in its own language, to its own culture. The same heart, shaped by local hands.
A proven method, training, tools and services — ready to hand to a community, so no one has to start from nothing.
Built, staffed and sustained by the people it serves — local work, local care, ownership that stays where it belongs.
Shaped to each place's language, traditions and real needs — answering its own people, never one-size-fits-all.
What we're looking for
This is a real project, still taking shape — and it will be built by many hands. Here is what it needs most right now.
Casa Abril is a chance to make impact you can stand in — a real place, real people, real care. If you can help create it, fund it, build it, or run it, let's talk.
