SDG 17 · Partnerships for the Goals

Aid to the world's poorest countries just fell by a record 23%.

Eco Heroes turns that fact into a story an 8-year-old can hold onto: A Huge Problem, book 17 of 17 in the SDG Library.

The target, in plain language

What the UN actually promised

Target 17.2

Developed countries to implement fully their official development assistance commitments, including the commitment by many developed countries to achieve the target of 0.7 per cent of ODA/GNI to developing countries…

In 2025 the total came to just 0.26 per cent, little more than a third of what was promised.

Target 17.17: encourage effective public, public-private and civil society partnerships, the teamwork every other goal depends on.
